RAY – Triennial of Photography will once again be accompanied by four-day photography workshops for children and young people aged twelve to eighteen in six cities in the Rhine-Main region. Based on the RAY exhibitions, these workshops will begin by reflecting on the theme of Echoes together with an art educator. The focus here is on the possibility and experience of resonating with the artistic works and developing a competence in dealing with images that surround and influence us in many ways. In the practical photography part, led by professional photographers, participants will explore their immediate and

individual living environment in the region and capture it through photography. They will work with professional cameras provided by the sponsor Fujifilm, Germany. At the end of the project, a joint publication of the works will be produced.

The patron of the RAY Junior programme is once again Frankfurt-based photographer Barbara Klemm. RAY Junior is supported by the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, the Jürgen R. und Eva-Maria Mann Foundation and the Rudolf-August Oetker-Foundation.
